I was in a bus this morning going to Yaba when some few guys were arguing over the source of money that one of the most popular blogger in Lagos, Nigeria Linda Ikeji enjoys. One argued that blogging couldn't have given her so much money that she has spent in the past few months, ranging from building a 5 bedroom duplex in her village within 6 months and now a 24million naira worth of car. And then he concluded that she (Linda) must have some rich men she is servicing alongside the blogging business, who in turn lavish so much wealth on her. One of the guys said that the blogger must have made her contacts with these big men while she was into modeling job.

Anyway, there is no level of success one records in this world that people would not have something to say about.

Nyanya bomb blast victims face hunger in hospital - report

According to a report by Premium Times, some victims of Monday's bomb blast receiving medical attention at the Asokoro General Hospital in Abuja are currently facing hunger as no one is providing them with food.

 

One of the survivors, Salome Jim, told Premium Times that she's only received drugs and drips from the hospital management but no one has given her anything to eat.

"I have been sitting down here waiting for surgery. I am in pain, I am very hungry. No one has come here to give me food, I can neither walk nor move, the nurses and doctors are nice to me but they didn’t give me food. The nurse said she will come and attend to me at 9:30 am this morning and this is 9 o’ clock so I am waiting, but when I came here yesterday they took care of me, I didn’t pay for anything, but they didn’t give us food. I went to bed with an empty stomach, the woman inside the ward over there (she pointed) shared her food with me at midnight, as I am here my relatives don't know I am here as I couldn’t find my phone.” She said. Angry youth burnt down another ritualist house discovered in Abeokuta

 

Another den was discovered yesterday, April 3rd in Akinremi Estate in the Adigbe area of Obafemi-Owode LGA of Ogun State, Vanguard reports

 

A pregnant young lady in a bid to set herself free from the ritualist ran out of a duplex in the estate on Wednesday night and informed the estate residents of what was happening in the building. The young lady said she was from Abia state and was sold to the ritualist by her elders sister for N100,000.

 

By Thursday morning, youths in the area, mostly students of the Moshood Abiola Polythecnic, invaded the building and engaged in a thorough search of the building and amongst the things they found in the building were charms, ivory plate containing fresh blood, coffin, and effigies.

 

Also discovered in the building were passports and Identity cards of Senior and Junior Students of Sacred Heart Catholic College, Oke-Ilewo who are believed to have been killed by the ritualist. Other male and female clothings were found in the building. Three pregnant ladies and three kids were rescued from the building.

 

Angered by the act, the youths of the area took laws into their hands and burnt the building down with the cars in the building.

 

The Ogun State Police Deputy PRO officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, while confirming the incident said the police has arrested two suspects, one Muibat Yusuf and her brother, who are indigenes of Kwara State.

Murder Case: Dancehall Artist Vybz Kartel Receives Life Sentence For Murdering His Associate

 

Legendary Jamaican dancehall singer Adidja Azim Palmer, Also known as Vybz Kartel has been sentenced was sentence to life in prison for the murder of his former associate Clive “Lizard” Williams in 2011.The sentencing which took place yesterday (April 3rd) was the longest murder trial in Jamaica’s history. Prosecutors say Williams was murdered after a failed business deal. Vybz Kartel, who was convicted of the murder last month won’t have a shot at having parole for 35 years.
Vybz is 38 years may only stand a chance at leaving prison at the age of 73..

Williams body was never found and the jury voted 10-1 .The one juror who voted against the decision has since been charged with attempting to bribe other jurors into changing their decisions.
The sentence was handed down by Supreme Court Justice Lennox Campbell.

Another 'ritualist den' found in Ogun State

 

Weeks after a ritualist den was discovered in Soka, Ibadan, another one has been discovered under a bridge close to the gate of a popular Cement Company along the Abeokuta Lagos Expressway.

A man from Ado-Ekiti Ekiti State who had lived as a mad man in the Iyana Egbado village in Ewekoro LGA of the state was seen carrying a nylon bag yesterday in a suspicious manner. Residents of the area decided to find out what was in his nylon and upon tearing it, it was discovered it contained decayed human intestine stained with blood. He was about to be lynched but was quickly saved and whisked away by men of the Ogun State Police command.

The suspect later took the police to his hideout where sliced pieces of human parts, plastic containers filled with human blood, ladies pants, brassiers, ladies and men shoes, blood stained dresses and duvet, knives, various non-functioning electronics parts & assorted soft drinks were found. He confessed that he operated with four other people including a woman who has been with the syndicate for 9 months and has been operating from the Ewekoro axis of town.

The State Police Force PRO, Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the incident and said the state Commissioner of Police, Ikemefuna Okoye, has instructed the suspect be brought to the state Police Headquarters where a full-scaled investigation would be launched.

Four explosive-laden vehicles exploded killing four suicide bombers in attempted attack in Maiduguri

Four suspected Boko Haram members died yesterday after the vehicles in which they each rode in exploded as they headed towards an NNPC facility on Maiduguri-Dambora road in Mule, an outskirt of Maiduguri, Borno State. Apparently they each had their vehicles laced with bombs that would detonate at the same time.

 

Spokesman for the Joint Information Centre for Counter Terrorism Campaign, Major General Chris Olukolade said that three out of the four explosive-laden vehicles were demobilized by shots fired at them by soldiers at the check point shortly before the explosions.

Reports say five soldiers were killed when the bombs exploded and the exact number of civilian casualties is yet to be ascertained.

An Abuja based Church, Christos International Church is presently not happy with comedian Klint Da Drunk for not showing up to anchor its empowerment programme after the church paid him N250,000 upfront. According to the church, Klint was given a part payment of N250,000 to anchor the said programme but failed to show up. The comedian later said the church gave him a wrong date of 23^rd of March, 2014, instead of the 22^nd of March, 2014 when the event held.

 

The church leaders however wondered why they would give him such a date, when they gave his other colleagues Frank Edwards and Asu Ekiye who were present the correct date.

 

On hearing this, Klint’s friends claim Klint would have been more successful in his career, if not for his unserious behaviour and love of video games. They said he prefers to play his games instead of honouring important meetings which can eventually earn him thousands of naira.

 

The church is however threatening to bring in the police if Klint does not refund the money.

Tchidi Chikere confesses 'This looks more like my first marriage; Nuella is my missing rib'

Nollywood movie director, Tchidi Chikere, who got married to actress Nuella Njubigbo this past Saturday in an interview with Encomium magazine said Nuella is his missing rib and that members of his family have accepted her as a wife.

"I have the support of my family, who have fully accepted Nuella. Having concluded all the traditional rites, she is now with me in Mbaise. My people have given her wrappers and taken her to the farm. We are so, so happy. This looks more like my first marriage. Infact, Nuella is my missing rib " he told the mag
